Biography
Wei Li was born in Meizhou, Guangdong Province, China, in 1993. He received his B.S. degree from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in 2015. In the same year, he joined the research group of Professor Sheng Yin as a postgraduate student at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University, and obtained his Ph.D. degree in Pharmacognosy in 2020. He continued his postdoctoral research on isolation, structure elucidation, and biological activity studies of natural products in Yin’s group. He joined Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Zhongshan Institute) since August, 2022.

Achievements
A highly efficient tracking and separation system combining LC-MS and characteristic NMR fingerprint was constructed. A series of small molecules with new skeletons were obtained, and a library of Euphorbiaceae diterpenoids was established.
